A little bit about me
Hi! I'm Matt Pedersen, personal trainer and co-founder of Pedersen Trainer Mobile Gym. I'm married to my super amazing wife Mila (who encouraged and helped me to open this business and may or may not have written this bio ha!) and we have a precious 1yo baby girl named Celina and her furry siblings Indy (border collie and runner buddy) and Ultra (sweetest cat ever). We currently live in Ansonia, CT where we bought our first home in 2022. Born and raised in Indianapolis, I grew up very active and involved with sports and exercise. Tennis was my passion in high school and when I graduated, I received a scholarship and played varsity tennis at Indiana Wesleyan University, where I received my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Soon after graduating, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2012. That was a year of pain and suffering and yet, after finding the right treatment, I pushed myself to go back to training and finished my first marathon that same year! In 2014 I received my Master's in Sports Performance at Ball State University where I coached the Cross-Country team. My love for running continued to grow. After numerous 50- and 100-mile races, in 2017 I achieved something I had never dreamed of: I ran 240 miles in about 100 hours! I have now completed three races over 200+ miles, and I continue to find ways to discover what my body is capable of. As crazy as those numbers sound, once you know how to best train your body and mind you too will be able to do things you never imagined you could! Whether you want to lose 10 pounds or 100, run your first 5k or your first marathon, or if you simply just want to sleep better and have more energy; whatever your goals are I know I can help you get to the finish line, and I promise I will make it fun!

Indoor or outdoor, you choose! If you don't have any gym equipment my Mobile Gym has everything you need for an amazing workout including weight plates, dumbbells, barbell, bench, mats, squat rack and much more.
Online Sessions
If you have equipment at home or go to a gym and just need workout routines and guidance, as well as nutrition tips, I can provide online assistance for a monthly fee.
Marathon & Ultra Training
Join the cool kids at the running community! People always ask "why"? But once you try you will understand. Whether you like running on the streets or prefer trails, I can tailor amazing programs for you.
